Gallery: Savvino-Storozhevsky monastery (Zvenigorod)
It is one of the four churches of the early Moscow architecture, which came to our days. The cathedral was built in 1404-1405 and completed in the middle of the XVI century (the Savva’s side-altar), in the middle of the XVII century (the Southern gallery and the Western church-porch) and in the XIX century (the porch). The painting fragments made by Andrey Rublev and his co-painters (XV century). In the middle of the XVII century, the cathedral was painted by the tsar’s isographs, the unique 5-tier iconostasis was created.
